The Aurum Solis?
« on: March 10, 2012, 07:34:17 pm »
In between going to meet ups with local Thelemites and personal study, I am still on the quest for a mystery tradition that fits my world view and belief system. I've come across the Aurum Solis; a Hermetic tradition based on the Greco-Egyptian mystery schools and traditions and it appears rather interesting.

Does anyone have experience with this group? '

I must admit, I am pleasantly surprised to find a western mystery school that isn't steeped in Judeo-Christian symbolism.

Hi there,

I do have experience with the Order Aurum Solis. You are right to highlight we are rooted in Graeco-Egyptian Hermetism. Not only is it clearly stated in our website and Jean-Louis de Biasi most recent book, The Divine Arcana of the Aurum Solis, but it is truly what gives shape to our Tradition, determines our work, and guides our aspirations.
A few conceptual tools borrowed from elsewhere and adapted to our Tradition are sometime used (as the Qabbalistic Tree of Life, for example), but they do not bear on the foundamental bases of our Order, or how we establish contact and work with the Immortal Divinities. Our rituals and philosophy stem from Graeco-Egyptian Polytheism.

I invite you to read recent published work, and look into both the Order and the Ecclesia Ogdoadica for further information which will definitely illustrate how we approach initiation and the mysteries. Also consider, of course, the Pronaos of the Order.

Best,

A.
