Question for our UK members…

So, in a tossing-the-idea-around (but not too seriously right now) vein: For those of you who hail from that part of the world, what would you say is the best time of year to plan a visit to “England’s green and pleasant land” from the standpoint of both weather and things to do? Specific area the south of England, including London, Kent, and possibly Cornwall.

In order to return the favor, allow me to state that anyone planning a visit of leisure to the largest city in the Lone Star State would be well advised to do so during the period between the middle of October and the middle of December, when the summer heat has broken and hurricane season is on its way out. Either then, or during early March when the Houston Rodeo is in session…March is generally cool and pleasant and the Rodeo is a world-class diversion with a lot of local flavor.

Thanks for any helpful responses—-Eric.
