In this thread: recipes made from things you have on hand, for when you don’t have the time/money to buy fresh things.

    A standby of mine:

    Sauerkraut San Franciso
    – sauerkraut
    – raisins
    – canned pineapple
    -(optional) chopped ham/sausage
All heated up together, served with rice.

End up making this one every so often.

    Nameless Orzo

    Orzo
    Broth or Bullion
    Frozen or Canned veggies
(optional) Meat or something like it
    (optional) Lentils
    Herbs of your choice

Bring the broth/bullion to a boil and then toss in your orzo.
    Throw in herbs and vegetables/meat/lentils.
Once it begins to boil again, turn down the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes*.

*Adjust cook time as you like for preferred viscosity.
