Worship of sea deities when not living near the sea?

Hello! So I was researching a sea god, and thinking about sea gods in general, too. And doing that brought me me to this question: Do people who live no where near the ocean worship sea deities, and if so, how?

And with that question, a thread idea was made.

Anyone want to answer?

 
I live probably about an hour's drive or so from the nearest coast so I suppose I don't live that far away from the sea.  I worship Aphrodite - one of her aspects is that of a goddess of the sea.  I have to admit it's a side of her I tend to ignore or forget in favour of her more obvious attributes.  What people have already said, well, I can't really add anything to.  But it's given me some things to consider.

 I suppose I don't have much of an excuse. I live about an hour or less from a beach also, but I have bad anxiety if I'm driving up that area by myself and neither my fiance/bff have my days off so it's likely I won't be returning there until I can get over it.

What the awesome thing is though, is that sometimes the wind brings the ocean. It smells like the ocean and I can just hear and feel the waves crashing. And of course yes, it's in the rain.

I see you're in the same state as me! I've noticed this too, though you're almost certainly closer to the coast than I am, so you probably notice it more often. I hadn't thought of it in quite that context but I think I will going forward. Thank you!
