I received my first circle invite today and it is for a Mabon celebration. I have done a lot of research as I am still discovering my own path. It seems that there many different ways to celebrate the end of harvest and the welcoming of the new season. Anyone have any advice on what to expect? I am a bit nervous. :eek:

Your best bet is probably to talk to the group you got the invite from and ask them what to expect/what to bring/what to wear/anything else they think someone new should know.

You don't need to be nervous. If you've been invited, and they know you're new, you'll be welcomed. What to expect depends a great deal on the group hosting the circle. Are they formal traditionalists? Are they mellow hippie types? What kind of group it is will determine things.

That said, Mabon often coincides with Pagan Pride Day so it's often, in my experience, been a pretty laid back, easygoing affair. Mabon is just one of the harvest festivals so there are various images/foods appropriate to this time of year and you might want to consider bringing something like this. I'd recommend researching Mabon rituals and associated symbology (and foods if there's gonna be a meal). Good luck and have fun!
