Most used plants?

For those of you that use herbs/plants of any kind in your normal rituals or spell-work, what do you find yourself using the most? Nothing specific, I'm just curious as to what everybody uses! :)

Valerian is the only herb I use with any regularity. I take it in the late afternoons to open my head a bit. Bonus: it gives me great dreams!

All the plants that grow around me - plantain, herb robert, silverweed, mugwort, comfrey and many more. I find greater potency in the herbs I gather locally than in the foreign exotics so no white sage for me.

Pinion pine pitch.  I feel like the fact that it's local gives it an extra something.  Pleasing the landwights, perhaps?  *shrug*. Sage actually is a local plant, too, but pinion seems better somehow.   Come to think of it, IIRC the local native American people held it more highly of the two, being a food source.

I use lavender, rosemary, and bay leaf often, whether in magic or to make lustral water. Though nothing is used as often as white sage, for smoke purification. I hesitate to call it "smudging", as to my understanding that refer to something specific to certain indigenous North American people, while smoke purifying is a more general term. Some people might gripe about using white sage at all; I happen to have a big bulk of it that a friend gave me, so I figured "might as well put it to use", otherwise it's just going to sit there unused or, worse, get chucked. I'm not going to go out of my way to buy more in the future but if it works, it works.
