Long Term/Community Devotions?
« on: September 10, 2016, 08:08:44 pm »
I recently felt called to - and began - making monthly meads as a devotional action. A portion of each fermentation is given to the gods and spirits and a similar portion is shared with my community (friends). Every time my batch is ready to drink, some goes on my outdoor altar, some poured toward rocks and trees, and a bottle is given to a different friend.

This feels right and it feels deeply appreciated by everyone involved. Does anyone else have experience with similar devotions/sacrifices that tie long term actions and the community?

I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but I recently transferred to a Library Science program. While this was initially done as a "Plan B" when I flunked out of a graduate history program, it's turning into a deeply spiritual work. I guess that's what happens when your patroness is the goddess of learning, and you go into a field where your job will be the dissemination of knowledge...y'know, helping people learn.
KARMA: You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
