Drumming Recordings for Trance Work
« on: February 13, 2017, 10:23:33 pm »
Hi.

I'm looking for recommendations for drumming recordings designed for trancework.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

The one I've used with success is found on the CD in this kit by John Matthews. I haven't used it in a while, mainly because I haven't been able/wanting to do trance for a while, but I still have the tracks on my iTunes and keep them for future trancework.

I've found problems with all  the commercial ones I've tried.  Too long, too short, too fast, too slow. You name it!

This is the only pre recorded one I now use https://www.amazon.ca/Shamanic-Drumming-Journeying-Traditional-Shaman/dp/B01AXM0FC2/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1487063017&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=howard+malpass . It as a nice mix of lengths and the recall works well.

Once you know what speed and rhythms work for you I highly recommend recording your own.
