Composing a ritual for moderation
« on: August 09, 2016, 09:09:03 pm »
Hello all. I would like to get some thoughts on how to put together a ritual that moderates a previously worked ritual. About ten years ago I performed a series of rituals that, over time, were very successful. In fact they were so successful, I now need those effects to back off to a more temperate level.

Please understand - I am extremely grateful for the blessings given me, but this is turning into a case of “be careful what you ask for”! I don’t want the effects of those first rituals to vanish entirely, only pull back a little.

I would be interested in any thoughts the people here may have about how to approach (or even how NOT approach) this goal in ritual. I want to be very careful and specific when I do finally decide to take this to a formal ritual. Any ideas about doing workings for moderation?

I appreciate your thoughts.

I appreciate your thoughts.

I suspect you're not getting a lot of response because "I did a thing; how can I do less of a thing" is extremely generic, and most people's experience is with specific, concrete rituals.

There are no generic answers.  It all depends on what you did, how you did it, and in what ways you want it to be less so now.
