Asetro Protection "Spells"

Hello friends! I was wondering if any of you knew of some protection spells that followers of the old gods (Norse) do? My friend is in serious need of spiritual protection and i need to help him. If it makes any difference, i am a devout follower of Andvare/Andvari and am in need of knowing how to call upon the gods to help my friend? If anyone has any ideas or questions just ask please! Thank you fellow heathens!
