* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

The Significance of Hexagram (Star of David)
« on: July 10, 2013, 12:55:59 am »

When learning witchcraft, many people will come across a hexagram (six pointed star figure).  Hexagram is common in many different cultures across the world.  In Judaism, we know it is called the Star of David.  In ancient eastern part of India, hexagram is a kind of mandala, which is called the Satkona Yantra or Sadkona Yantra.

Ancient Yogi (spiritual yoga cultivators) use hexagram during meditation.  Hexagram is very significant when it comes to chakras meditation; it is used for initiating the inner fire in the Muladhara Chakra (about four fingers below naval point).  The Muladhara Chakra is the origin of life force in a person.  This chakra is very important in any religion emphasizing cultivation, and this is why you can find this chakra to be identical to Dan Tian in Taoism.

Anyway, how does one use hexagram for witchcraft?  Speaking of witchcraft, I will stress here the importance of meditation.  Meditation bring about the spiritual power within a person.  Witchcraft requires spiritual power, otherwise a spell will not work.  Spiritual power is so important to witchcraft that it is analogous to electricity in lighting a lamp.  Here is how one use hexagram for meditation: First, use lime stone to draw a hexagram.  Then, draw a circle inside the hexagram.  Third, put a candle on each tip of the hexagram.  When one is finished drawing the hexagram and setting up the candles, one can then sit inside the circle and meditate.

Many people think that meditation is contemplating on a particular subject matter.  This is the wrong kind of meditation.  A true meditation would be relingquishing all forms of thoughts including but not limited to contemplation.  Here is the correct way of meditation:

Sit tight and straighten your body on a chair or cushion.  Don't bend your back, otherwise you will be too comfortable and fallen into sleep.

Then, when you breathe in and out, make note of breathing, and do not think of anything, i.e., don't think about your cute dog, your handsome boyfriend, or your lovely girlfriend.  Think of them later and after you are finished with your mediation.  You have all the time you need thinking about them after meditation.

An alternative to making note of breathing, you may stare at the candle in front of you with your eyes half closed.

One may ask what is the significane of hexagram?  Why not a square or a rectangle instead?  Hexagram is made up of triangles, and triangles can generate the element of fire.  In Chinese medicine, our heart's energy, our blood, our eyes, and our spirit belong to the element of fire.  When a person is full of spirit, he/she will be very energetic, meditate easily, and perform ritual with great power.  Other geometric figures will generate different kinds of element.  For instance, a square will generate the element of earth.  Anway, I will not go into details about other figures, which deserve another topic of discussion.
