Whether you pray to beings that exist (of some who might or might not have given name to myth) or a manifestation of your own imagination, the outcome should be the same; it is the intent you put into what you do that determine the outcome. So do whatever you feel like basically And what do you deem as not imagination?

I jumped on this topic because despite identifying as a hard polytheist, I too believe that deities cannot exist outside of human help. I think that deities gain their power from the ones who believe in them.

That said, before I fully committed to working with chthonic deities, I used to use Elder Scrolls gods in my craft. Shout out to any Azura worshipers, lol.
