* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

Using Tarot Cards in Spells
« on: July 16, 2016, 01:05:18 pm »
Does anyone else use tarot cards in their spellwork? There are only a couple of things I use them for other than divination, like using the tower and swords card for hexes, and using cards like strength or the magician to make mojo bags. If you use tarot cards in your spells how do you use them?

I use them sometimes. I  use them much the same way some people use crystals - I pick cards whose energy is in line with my goal.

Yes, I have used tarot cards, oracle cards and various rune sets in ritual.

I have used them as a focus card, to help set my intention, as corner guardians and circle boundary (picking cards that enforced my intention or had characteristics I wanted to protect from).  I attended a ritual where everyone was given one card from a deck as a takeaway for the year (this was closer to traditional divination).  I have set a card on my altar to bring that energy into my days.  I had a friend who couldn't keep a full set of tools when he was in the military, so he used his tarot deck as his toolbox, using different cards to stand in for tools when he worked.

I actually just wrote a whole article on this very topic (non-standard uses for divination tools) for the Wyld Zine I helped put together :)

I don't often, but occasionally I'll use them as a symbol, such as representing a goal or to charge something. One of the more concrete examples belongs more to a friend than to me- she uses cards for when a spell calls for a goddess* statue or representative.

* Not only for goddess things, but that example is a pretty common requested element in wicca/wiccish spellbooks

Yep, I've used em, as visual foci or representations of the elements, mostly.
There's a book out there called Tarot Spells which gives you all manner of different things to try.  (and there are other titles besides)  You can do em straight out of the book or customise them to your situation/needs.

Also, plugging 'tarot spells' into your search engine should turn up a metric shit-ton of resources.
Spider Man 3 never happened. And Epstein didn't kill himself.
