Okay I thought there was special makeup for the nether region. I really did consider getting body paint for the area for the spell. But the thing is, I really want something colorful but sensitive enough for the clitorial area (sorry for being graphic).

There are not a lot of things that are safe for on the vulva, due to it being a very sensitive area (in skin reactions, in being membranous, in PH, etc).

That said- you can patch test products meant for use on other skin, and see if you react. Some clays work like body paint, and you might be able to dye them safely. I made that post about lube already. You could use a vajazzling type thing and use eyelash glue to attach pretties to your pubic area and possibly clitoral hood, and I just found this stuff while googling (nonexplicit/possibly NSFW).

None of those things should be used internally, except the lubes. A water based flavoured/coloured lube seems like the best option to me, personally.

Even if you use a lube or other product designed for use on the genitals, you should patch test it, because an allergic reaction after you covered your parts would be much more devastating.

Yep. Warming lube put me in the ER. Take it from me, TEST EVERYTHING.

I've considered and dabbled with using cosmetics on my body for spells. But is it a good way to get the point across, plus I found some of the makeup and where I put it uncomfortable so any suggestion on special products? I've considered temporarily dying my hair, I've tried cheap glitter, any other ideas?

A book which may be useful is
Enchantments: 200 Spells for bath & beauty enhancement  ( maybe you could read it from a library)
the author Edain McCoy, you can browse sample pages at Amazon.
I bought this book in a sale at Llewellyn many years ago and it is nice to read for ideas and inspiration, I still read it sometimes.:)

Searching for people that use commercial products in magic I viewed site
http://www.hoodooreview.blogspot.com/ she mentions using some LUSH bath and soap items.
