2019 Donation Drive

It's time for our annual Server Donation Drive! We need to raise at least $650 (same as last year) to keep The Cauldron's server online for another year. Please help! Either hit that Paypal button to the right and make a one-time donation in any amount or set up a monthly Bronze, Silver or Gold Donor subscription. You can find more info in this message!

Donations as of 16 Sept 2019: $660 donated. $10 more our minimum goal! Let's beat last year's total of $99 more than the minimum!

Note: This total is updated manually, usually once a day

* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

Resources on different types of magic
« on: December 04, 2012, 04:37:03 pm »
Again, not sure if this actually belongs here. But anyway...
I mentioned this in another post and I thought I'd actually ask the question here.
Does anybody have any good resources on tree magic? Or just working with trees in general? Since I've started my practice I feel like trees are something I connect with really well, and I'd love to include them more.
Also, and I really feel like this is a weird question, but I'm curious...
Does anyone here do any magic or any other spiritual based practice with storms? (Like any kind of storm... snow, thunder, ect...) I have a thing for storms, and I've only ever been able to include them by adding drawings to my altar (of storms). I'd like to connect to them more... if that makes any sense at all.

Hey there you might look at this and see if it helps
http://www.susunweed.com/herbal_ezine/December04/healingwise.htm

I don't really have a formal method for how I work with trees and plants and I don't know that I could coherantly explain it , but her approach is a solid start if you are interested.

I love working with storms and storm energy If you want you could try one or more of these approaches for starting points :

1. I like to collect storm water ( rain ) in ritual bowls that I set out during the storm and use them for later purposes like annointing or mixing inks for painting or other art.

2. I like to charge crystals in the storm particularly smokey quartz. the stored storm energy in the crystals can be used later in ritual or spells or w.e. function you can design for it.

3.  I don't know if you do any meditative or astral work but you might want to try doing it during a storm. I like to emmerse myself in storm energies and the presence of the storm not always to a purpose just as an experiance and to deepen my knowledge and bonds with them.

I hope that helps you out a bit. Sorry I don't have any books to link or anything on either topic but I am just as hopeful as you that someone posts some for us to check out :D Good luck.
