In Arabic mythology, there are three orders of creation:  those made of light (Angels), those made of fire (Jinn), and those made of earth (Humanity).

i;m glad I remembered that right.

I might suggest getting involved in community.  Plant a garden.  Work with kids in need.  Put in some hours helping at a food bank.  Invest time and effort in something concrete that needs taking care of that you can see as an investment in a better future.  That's magic, too, and it's a way to stay functional in a world full of very scary stuff.  It helps with the feeling of uselessness in the face of overwhelming opposition, and it helps others, too.

That and, you know, write and call elected officials, do a flyering campaign, teach a workshop, write an editorial, bring coffee to protesters.  One year I had some extra cash so I got a bunch of umbrellas and warm hats and passed them out to people waiting in line in the rain to vote.  There's all kinds of work to do.
Riiiight and what if I tell people what is going on and the real issues and they arrested me for people a "terrorist" for no agreeing with the president. The country is becoming like Nazi Germany and everyone is too stupid to realize it.

I didn't wish for death on anyone, when I prayed to beings. I simply wished that the bill didn't pass, nor the internet bill and the country gets better. Well the 1867 Bill passed, so it makes me feel that no one is listening Gods, Humans, anyone. Everything is getting worse. So what else is there to do?

Did it pass the Senate and the House and the Pres? I've been under a work/school rock.

Also I support everyone else calling summoning a powerful sentient creature a seriously reckless and basically stupid idea. Assuming it works you're likely to end up deeply, deeply regretting it.

Instead of a supernatural solution why don't you engage in some activism and volunteerism to actually effect real change?

With the passing of this new bill. If you live in the US you no longer have any rights. I am desperate. I don't know what else to do, summoning a djinn doesn't seem like a bad idea.

Laws with unconstitutional provisions get passed all the time -- most of those provisions get tossed by the courts. Personally, I'll like to see those who vote for such provisions removed from office, however.

That's the risk you take trying to fight an unjust system. Although the more privileged you are (white, able-bodied, etc.) the less chance you have of ending up on the inside of a prison.

Seriously.  Me, I don't have any particular rights in this society already, and if I end up inside a prison, I get jailed with men, which is nearly a death sentence.  And that is a risk I take every time I engage in civil disobedience, direct action, being anywhere near any of those...walking down the street at night...boarding a plane...crossing a border...attempting to vote...
For some of us, this has been an unjust system all along.  It's just that it's revealing itself to the rest of everyone now.  The risks have always been the risks, even if there's a pile of awful coming down the pike.

OP, buddy, my suggestions were neither spurious nor frivolous.  They're what those of us who've been in this fight for generations now do, because if you panic and burn out or do something rash then you're not there to be an activist tomorrow and this is not a sprint, it's a marathon.
We build our communities of kindness and compassion and solidarity brick by brick, because someone with nothing to eat has no time or energy to spend worrying about who it is screwing them over from the top.  This system happened because people bought into the lie that they're not connected to each other and have no responsibility to each other, and the more we do to build more human connections and take care of each other, the more we give the lie to all of the ideas fascism relies on.  It doesn't mean that's all we do, but it means that we're never doing nothing, and we're doing things that keep us and our communities running in the meantime.

I think in at least some cases you're seeing "too stupid to realize it" but it may actually be "realized it a long time ago."  You want to know what to do, you look at the veterans.  Read some Grace Lee Boggs.  Howard Thurman.  Mohandas Gandhi.  Dorothy Day.  Farid Esack.  Nelson Mandela.  Some of the newer luminaries, from Andrea Smith to Rebecca Solnit.  Look up how resistance organizers in Spain and Germany and South Africa did it.  We're not the first to fight this fight, okay?  Connecting to community is what helps us survive.  Building community is what gives us something worth saving.  And taking care of others and ourselves in basic concrete ways gives us the strength to run the long race toward liberation.

All that is to say:  I wasn't being ironic.  Try giving community engagement a shot.  If nothing else, it'll mean that someone will care if you get disappeared.

Whoof.  I'll see what I can dig out of my archives after finals are over, if I remember.

I'm trying to keep my applause down to a golf clap (people are sleeping), but I'm finding it difficult.  BRAVO.

Do you think those that vote for them, are really think of the US Constitution when they vote?
