* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

Failing to acknowledge power
« on: January 17, 2012, 08:01:14 pm »
Has anyone ever known anyone who just exudes energy and some kind of esoteric power yet refuses to acknowledge it?

I used to be friends with a person who was just amazing. Unfortunately, he ended up running with a group of people that were so limited and brought him down to their level.  Just awful.

I know there is nothing I can do, and that is ok. It is just kind of sad. I always felt he had amazing potential but just would not or could not realize it. Sometimes I think he was afraid of himself.

Anyway, just musing.

I think, it's the individual's decision what they do or do not with a talent.
Everybody has to go their own path.

Just because I may have a talent, I owe nothing to others who think that I am a) gifted and b) have the best ideas how I should put it to use.

You can tell someone that you think they are a great writer/painter/artist/singer - but that's about the influence that you have.

That’s what people never really understood.….Things had to balance.

All you could try to be was a witch, as hard as you could.\'

This is very possible. It takes a lot of insight and courage to be who you are, particularly if that is a person not quite mainstream.

I agree, people have to find their own way and you can't force anything on anyone. It was just the weirdest thing to observe. It is hard to imagine how someone with such innate presence and ability would not be frustrated by constantly being around those that had no clue.

Oh well, there are some things that are just mysteries and not for us to judge I guess.

The people we spend a lot of time with can often influence our behaviors.  It's unfortunate, but often happens.  Unless the person has extremely strong boundaries or feelings on the matter, it's really only a matter of time.  In this case, I agree, it's very unfortunate.
