How did you start on your Path?
 
How did you become involved in aspects of witchcraft, hoodoo, and folk magic?

LaVeyian Satanism started my magical path.  Been an Instinctual Chaote since about 1996.  And I read just about anything I can get my hands on about the subject, to see what I can do that works better.

Personally, I was raised Pentecostal and began to look into other religions during high school. Yes, my mama warned me and threatened with hell-fire and brimstone. However, I began by considering myself Pagan. As time went on I began to feel associated with Wicca, but that didn't last long. Those of you that have followed me have seen that I am slowly but surely transitioning into a path, which I refer to as, Religious Witchery. Basically, I do my own thing and follow the guidance of the Deities/Spirits and Nature. Anyways, more about that in the "What Kind of Witch Are You?" thread . . .
 
Now as I go along and mature within my Craft, I just go with whatever comes to me and work with that which feels as if it fits and meshes with my own desires/practices.

 
In high school I began actively searching for something meaningful and attended different churches and I was reading myths and ancient history and such. But I wasn't exposed to anything pagan or witchy in my small town library. It was a close cousin, sister in effect really, who, in my early twenties, gave me an introductory Cunningham book and that started me on my path.  I've long since moved away from Wicca and more into folk magic since finding Lucky Mojo online some years ago.
