And I am someone with multiple chronic conditions, and I've been getting massages for years. The idea that I can't is offensive. The idea that you would try to "fix " things without my consent is even worse. I would never go back to or recommend such a person.

If your training approves of this, I want to know the school so that I might never go to such a practitioner by accident.

Okay, I see where I did wrong with my post. I'm not saying that someone with chronic conditions can't get a massage. I didn't elaborate on "serious conditions" either. I apologize for that. I meant no offense. It's not necessarily energy work either, I'm not trained in Reiki or anything specific like that. I just automatically draw the energy in and get rid of it. As for trying to "fix" you, I didn't even say that. I said I would pray for your health and safekeeping.

I appreciate you bringing my poor choice in wording of my post to my attention, and yes, I do understand the lack of consent issue. I always get consent to work on someone first, and am looking into more formal training so that I can give a proper explanation of what I do.

I'm curious if you can expand on this at all? What energy are you drawing in? Do you get rid of it via grounding or some other method?

The best way that I can describe it is that I draw the pain out? Let's say I had a client come in with back and shoulder pain, after the massage, they feel better, but I now have the pain in the area where they were hurting. Then, I usually release it through grounding. I usually release it best into water though. I tend to draw negative energy away from people without meaning to, and that tends to manifest from stress and then turns to physical pain.
