* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

Magic as political act
« on: December 01, 2019, 01:01:46 pm »
When she visited in mid-October after attending a wedding in California, my mother handed me the "souvenir ticket" from her visit to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Museum. I put it away and then took it out today to use in a ritual in honor of World AIDS Day: I wrote a spell on the back of it, then burned it and tossed the remains down with some trash. The point is to throw energy against the institutional forces still driving homophobia and stigma today.

I've also thought of doing a reading of the Bacchae with magical intent, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

Have you ever used magic for political purposes? Done a spell as a political act?

For the last few years I've been doing an execration-type ritual on New Year's Day, and the times that I don't have any personal issues I want to banish, I use broader social problems. One year it was the Yoda Quartet (fear, anger, hate and suffering).
