The Sekhet-Maat Lodge in Southeast Portland, home to a small religious order, was the target of an arsonist early Monday morning, according to the Portland Fire Bureau.

Spokeswoman Kim Kosmas said crews arrived just after 3 a.m. to find smoke billowing from the front of the building.

“Accelerants were used, most likely gasoline on this one, and the person ran off,” she said.

Members of the lodge did not want to comment, but neighbors fear the group was specifically targeted for their religious beliefs and practices, which are not mainstream.

“If it is a personal act against people for what they believe in, it concerns me,” said Sheila Baraga.

“They have always been good neighbors,” she said. “This isn’t right."

Portland fire is asking anyone with information to call 503-823-1398."

I have to wonder what is behind this. The average religious bigot probably wouldn't know enough about the OTO to be able to tell in from any other lodge-type organization.

It's hard to tell Randall. Portland has its fair share of whackadoos that will do anything.

Indeed, I love the PNW but we have a large share of whackadoos. I'll keep an eye out as well.

It's hard to tell so far, but sometimes it just takes a few rumours, heard by the wrong person.

Crowley and the OTO have been targeted by religious biggots in the past.

Portland was my home for nine years, and I'll always be an Oregonian at heart.  This just hurts.  It was my community, you know?  Not the Lodge, but--I mean, that was my old neighborhood.

We are currently in the process of rebuilding and had a great night last night of cleaning and our community came together to console each other and start the process of renewal by doing the first round of cleaning and repairs from the fire.

 The investigation is underway with arson specialists from Portland City Police and Fire department as well as the A.T.F. They have determined that the attack was targeted. At this point they are looking for a specific suspect rather than an organized group or random act of violence.

It sounds like they were very lucky or the arsonist was quite inept. Those are relatively low damages for arson.

The suspect that Geoff is trying to pin with this arson is me, Frater Noes or Jason G. Gibson. I took my Minerval oath under Joesph Thiebes sometime in the spring of 2010.

I have been an aesthetic practitioner for over twenty years. As a Thelemite, I was turned onto the work of Sir Aleister Crowley through Dr. Jose Arguelles while on retreat in Santiago Chile in 1999/2000. I was attending Sekhet-Maat Lodge on a regular basis from winter of 2009 until Spring of 2011.

During the course of one of our Sunday ceremonies ('High Mass'), Geoff was doing his up-most as the High Priest to appease our Lady Babylon, played by Kim Knight (his wife). The room was shaking in disbelief as Geoff was out of body and certainly out of steam, revealing the plain fact that he was either not qualified to perform or lacking in the basic fundamental practices of our order. He apparently had been riding coat-tails and simply dropping names and titles for some-time.

At one point in the rite, my sponsor "CHAOS" who was attending the alter in the role of "child" along with her partner Joesph Thiebes, passed out... cold! Like, she literally fell back-wards on her head, knocking her unconscious. Needless to say the ceremony came to a grinding halt. Receiving communion thereafter was most challenging as our Lady transformed into a hydra of many heads and literally morphed into a most striking resemblance of the Hindu god of death; Kali.

She displayed a certain discontentment and was quite capable of devouring any-one who would approach her, and I did. My tact was certainly unconventional and out of the ordinary as I cautiously approached the podium. It was everything I could do to remain composed, using all of the tricks from bhanda locks to breath techniques. I was literally scared shitless as I thought she would certainly run both Geoff and I right through with his own spear.

Immediately after the rite was finished, Geoff approached me with a hostile demeanor quoting Liber Oz while babbling about my participation in the mass. I responded, "what don't you understand about our oath 'do what thou wilt is the whole of the law'." He insisted on pulling me outside to discuss the matter and I informed him that I would not be doing so until well after Sunday. He tried to block me from exiting the hall and insisted upon confronting me.  I muscled my way around him into the reception area and called for council. Before I could explain the circumstances Geoff had me escorted out of the building and threatened to call 911.
 
I returned to the lodge about three weeks later and was informed that I could no longer participate in any of the activities at Sekhet-Maat, that my minerval degree was no longer valid and that I would be permanently banned from all O.T.O lodges, functions and fellowship without recourse.

On July 4th 2011, the Sekett Maat lodge was fire-bombed by an unknown assailant. According to Sylvia Catzen, Geoff gave my name and personal details to Portland Police, the FBI and the Bureau of Firearms. He also gave the name of my friend and business partner James Schroeder who lives nearby the lodge at 603 SE Morrison Street. James consequently is employed across from his home (in plain sight) at the Oregon Commission for the Blind. When these agencies arrived at his residence to question him about his relationship to me, all of his fellow peers at the agency could see the police cars and officials entering into his home for questioning. He literally freaked out and so did his peers.

Thereafter I was quested by an agent for the FBI and an agent for the Bureau of Fire Arms, who was adamant in his approach to incriminate me in the incident. Had it not been for the integrity of the FBI, he would have done so.

On or around February 1st, 2014, I returned to the lodge and discussed my participation with Lodge Master Kim Knight. She said I could participate and was welcome to do so. Geoff on the other hand threatened to call 911 if I did not immediately remove my self from the premise.

I am currently mounting a civil law suite against Geoff Leibinger and intend to clear my name through the International College of Thelema, where apparently Geoff is a board member.
