I don't think one spread is more accurate than another, spreads seem to change the focus of the reading more than the accuracy. That is, I tend to select a spread based on what the reading is about.

First, I wholly agree with RandallS. Different spreads can achieve different foci but accuracy is pretty much the same. A spread may seem off if it  doesn't fit the query as well as it might.

For example, there are types of spreads that separate the minor Arcana into suits for different topics and choosing, say, cups to where staves or swords might fit better could result in a vague or off topic reading.

One of my favorites is suit separate spread for a specific question asked (it gives more than that answer though of course). Seven cards total. Cards 1,2,3,4 are a line of minor Arcana of appropriate suit. Under them closing the bridges/gutters/breaks between the minors are cards 5,6, 7 and they are the majors. (The unused suits remain unused and to the side.) I do not know the name of this spread or from where I learned it, sorry. Someone else might.

1 Representes the current situation and querent.
2 Represents the culmination of the suit topic in regards to the querent's life if nothing changes.
3 Represents the obstacles to achieving the end outcome.
4 Represents the answer to the query and/or things to consider about the query.

5 Represents the past role of the topic in the querent's life; 6, the present; and 7 the future roughly dividing the querent's life into 3.

The dignity of the cards along with these representations are read. The dignities are the postions of the cards in relation to the other cards in the spread (you may know that already, forgive me). In this layout there are five trinities that may also be read:
1-2-5
2-3-6
3-4-7
2-5-6
3-6-7

What these cards represent in their positions can be examined further by reading how these trinities interact with each other. The last two divide the life of the querent in half but give more information about the representations of the upper cards, and the first three may elucidate representations and subtle interplays between them and the time periods of the querent's life.

There is an additional part of the process that also allows for reading cards that represent outside forces over which the querent may not have control but may play a significant role in his or her life with no time specification. This is when choosing the three majors. Seven cards are chosen from the majors and only three from that lot are chosen for the spread. The remaining four cards represent those outside forces. I will not go into the whole process save to say who shuffles and who lays the cards is reader preference and reversals are likewise. Some are steadfast in their preferences and that's cool by me.

This is a nice spread to do 4 times using each suit; however, it takes a very long time to do this. Not as long as a full deck spread but close. I like this because usually when I read cards for people they do have a question in mind and want as much information about that topic as possible. If they don't and want a general reading I would use an entirely different spread where all the cards are mixed.

Mary K. Greer's blog has been good to read now and again when I get in the tarot frame of mind. It may be of interest to you.

I suppose I worded it wrong I meant which ones do you work with the most. Which are you most drawn to. I do know how it works I have a binder of spreads that I have in sections for different uses. I am just tring to fill it with new spreads to broaden my collection.

Moin.

I like to take one card every morning. Just a look into myself or into the day.
Sometimes it´s good that I can expect some things before they happen and can act against them ;)

My most used spread is the question, how two people are standing.
I don´t have the ability to see through people as other can do. I often have to ask my cards, which kind that people are and what´s between us - or not.

If my card and the book cannot give me an answer, I ask my pendulum for the statement of that card.
Yours
Nymeria

The most? Well, I guess the "pick one card in the morning" reading is the one I've used the most which is not really helpful, I know. I also use the Celtic Cross and a 3 card Past-Present-Future spread often.
