- The Sideshow Tarot, which I picked up at my (now defunct, alas) local SF con.  The artist is local to me, and had a table set up in the Dealers' Room, so of course, tarot geek that I am, I had to check it out.  It's surprisingly well-done, given that he didn't put any study into tarot before designing it - I've seen decks designed by much more tarot-knowledgeable people that were much poorer in representing the "sense" of the cards.

I really really like that deck, unfortunately I can't get a set.
I just have a standard rider-waite deck, it's ok nothing special though

I am a sucker for tarot art.

+1. Too bad the cards don't seem to love me back.

My stepmother has a Mage tarot set (first printing, with coloured booklet and casket box) and hardly allows me to touch it. I have a Cat Tarot set of my own, too cute to do much with, and a Wisdom Well oracle set, which I've been working with more recently. I regularly drool over Victoria Frances' Favole deck, but I suspect I'd just frame the major arcanas, rather than read them.

I've three decks right now:

- Tattooed Tarot.
- Tarot of the Sweet Twilight.  I love this deck - it is very intuitive and is the one I use most often.
- Fantod pack by Edward Gorey.

Yay, more love for the Tattooed deck!

There are so many hundreds of gorgeous decks out there. I'm curious about which ones you use - just one, or a collection?

.

Crow's Magick is my primary deck.  I've also the Raven cards oracle. I like the artwork of the Legend deck. The latest one I got was the Rumi deck but for the life of me, I just got all agitated with it.  It's now on it's way to a new home-a friend has been wanting it for the longest time, so I've gifted it to her.  I still have my first tarot deck (Zerner Farber) minus LWB.  The Guilded tarot isn't doing anything for me yet.  There are a couple decks by Londa Marks that I like, but are out of my price range.

When I was learning I first got gifted a version of the Marseille but it wasn't helping so I bought myself the Mythic (Greek based) which came with a cloth for the Celtic Spread and an excellent work book.

I was gifted the Hanson Roberts (smaller sized) and used that one for a while, especially while doing work for the Spiritualist's chapel I was involved with about 20 years or so ago.

For readings now I tend to stick to The Alchemical (Renewed) by R M Place, (which has an extra alternative Lovers card) or The Gothic with Vampire style artwork by Vargo.

Because I love the images, I have Peter Pracownik's Dragon, Ciro Marchetti's Legacy of the Divine, The Prague, (which has an extra alternative Death card) and a few others... all far too pretty to take out of their boxes too often...  :)
It\'s all about the Ebb and Flow...

The Rider Waite and  Pracownik's Dragon Tarot, neither or which I use very much.

The deck that gets the most use is my Oracle X deck. I find this by far the easiest one to use and my readings for myself are very accurate.

I have a bunch of tarot and oracle decks (I think my collection is somewhere around the 20s, now) that I switch out depending on my mood. I like using my Tarot of Vampyres for relationship type questions, but it's also good for general readings. Sometimes I like to use my Animals Divine for help in making RPG characters. Recently, I bought the Motherpeace, and the advice it gave me as to how to shape my protagonist in this story I'm writing was spot on.

I have two decks, and only ones I felt drawn to when I pass them in the store. The first is my 'easy tarot' It's got nicely done computer-made images, with much symbolism that ties to the basic Rider-Waite closely. I like it.
My favorite, and unless I find one that I attach to more- which seems relatively low because I absolutely love this deck, is my Shadowscapes Tarot. Goodness gracious, the art is so wonderfully done. It also is a basic Rider-Waite-esque deck, but the artist put her own spin on the imagery and such. I highly recommend it.

Ones I have:

Thoth (far and away my favorite)
Radiant Rider-Waite-Smith (still trying to get past the neon glow :))
Pythagorean (mainly for the accompanying book)
Navigators of the Mystic Sea (unusual and fascinating . . . and cheap!)
Shining Tribe (primitive and evocative; I call it my "spirit meditation" deck)
Mythic (the original, more Greek mythology than Western Mystery Tradition, IMO)
Aquarian (wanted one since the '70s, now have it; very "contemplative")
Yaeger Tarot of Meditation (meh . . .)
BOTA Tarot (B&W, part of my BOTA course of study)
Legacy of the Divine (double-meh; too-sterile CG graphics)
Classic Tarot (Marseille-style): really my wife's, but she doesn't read any more)

Ones Ordered and On-the-way:

Druidcraft (one reason why I'm here)
Golden Dawn Magickal (Cicero's alternative to the Thoth)

Ones I Want:

Tarot of the Four Elements (vivid!)
Tarot of the Holy Spirit (deep esoteric symbolism NOT based on the Golden Dawn)
Tarot of the Old Path (another reason why I'm here)
Wildwood (a third reason . . .)
Robin Wood (and a fourth!)
Deviant Moon (can't resist the cross between Tim Burton and Hieronymus Bosch)
Morgan-Greer (for when I'm in "cruise" mode; colorful and easy to use)

Hamlet was right! But so was P.T. Barnum . . .

The only one I'm currently using is the Shapeshifter Tarot. It's...it's okay. I have some issues with some of the fluffiness in the book, and some of the images not lining up with the concepts stated in the book. It seems to do fairly well most of the time.

I used to have the Wildwood Tarot, but it never felt right and I sold it cheap to a pagan friend. Can't say enough about how beautiful the art was, but it wasn't for me. It did great when I did readings for other people, but never worked on my own. I actually got rather sniffy about not wanting to get rid of it, and my Higher Self said "Here, I'll prove it to you. Pull three random cards." I shuffled and did so. I pulled three of the cards that had come up in the most recent reading I'd done for myself. Yep. Time to find a new owner.

I have a tiny oracle deck called Celtic Wisdom (I assume). It came in a tiny box set from Michael's Crafts, of all places, with a little book and a Brighid's Cross necklace. I don't really use it. It just has animal cards and they rarely tell me much of use.

I mostly use runestones.

I have the Mystic Faerie tarot by Barbara Moore and the Carr-Gomms' Druidcraft tarot. I'm mostly using the latter these days.

Off at home in the States I have a Thoth deck and a Goddess tarot.

I had a Hieronymos Bosch deck once but I never felt comfortable with it so I eventually swapped it away.

I have the regular Rider Waite that I got when I first started Tarot.

I have the Crystal Tarots which is and probably always will be my go-to deck. It's amazing.

I also have the Celestial Tarot. I've gotten good readings with it but I need to use it more often.
I know you. If I were blind, I would know what you are.

True, plus a few that feel quite repellent but of course it comes down to personal preference and likely guides (IMO).

I have a bit of a collection (because I'm a hoarder :o ) but most often lately I have worked with Doreen Virtue's oracle cards, rather than any tarot set.

I have found that some forms of divination (runes, Osho Zen cards) are more "kick-ass" than others. And by kick-ass I mean blunt messages. Not always welcomed but often needed, lol.
A friend told me I was delusional. I almost fell off my unicorn.

The deck I have, which was my first deck, is the Rider-Waite deck, a vintage one published in the '70s that I happened to find at a antiques store after giving up on looking for one.  Fate?  Probably, but either my deck has a healthy dose of snark, or it doesn't like me very much. ;w;
