Opinion on a SPAM Casting
« on: October 13, 2017, 01:38:33 pm »
a few years ago I tried a site called Fast SPAM.  I had absolutly zero SPAM.  I had no replies from the SPAM Casters as well.  I recently tried again.  I bought a Love SPAM casting or rather a custom SPAM casting where I got 7 flavors of SPAM in one spell.  I found a site that was essentially two SPAMMERS.  They called it their SPAM company.  Out of my 7 flavors, 3 have came back up in 2 weeks.  Is this a good SPAM?  The 2 requests were the ones I needed the MOST (my ex SPAM came back)  To be honest, I couldnt care less if the other requests come to pass.  Has anyone had experience with these SPAMMERS?  They were SUPER nice and even asked me if I were "100% certain" I wanted my ex SPAM back.  That kinda threw me back.  lol.  Just curious what you guys think?  Thanks, Dave the SPAMMER, OHIO

My opinion of this SPAM is: sounds palatable in a pinch. Brie, though, is nasty.

I'm confused, you put the peaches on the sandwich?  Gross!  (Also can the spamming one be axed?? :P)

Edit:  OOPS!  So he was!  Sunflower is on top of things!

<bows> That's the first thing we do when we catch one of the little son-of-a-bots, is ban them (and get rid of any spammy links in their posts or profile). Creative editing and spam recipes are optional (though a tradition on TC), so they don't get done until after the spammer has been neutralized.

For future reference, if you spot one before staff get to it, please do make use of the 'report to moderator' button in the lower right of the post. An important part of how we can be on top of things is the assistance of TC members in general, and making a report (rather than just requesting in-thread that the spammer be axed) ensures that it comes to our attention as quickly as possible.

(In this instance, thanks go to missgraceless and RedFaery - the former spotted and reported it before anyone on staff; the latter reported while I was dealing with it... but we don't mind the redundancy at all; we'd rather get several dozen reports of the same spammer than none!)

Sure.  I thought it was an actual post at first, or rather, a legitimate post.  Then I got distracted and had to run away and do other things.  I edited almost immediately after I posted, seeing you'd already banned.  No need to report after the deed is done ;)

Yes, so you did - and you did a good enough job of turning it into a legitimate discussion that I didn't apply any creative editing to the one you replied to. Sometimes it can be quite tricky to spot the difference between legit (but very novice) posters, trolls, and spammers! Proceeding to build a good discussion regardless of the OP's legitimacy or lack thereof is also a way in which the members are a vital part of how TC runs, so you also have my thanks. My reply to you above was meant to be simply informative, not any sort of reprimand.

Another point on the ever-growing list of Why We Don't Much Like Tapatalk.

We can't hate it, because it allows members - often longtime and well-loved ones - who wouldn't be able to be here otherwise to be here, and that counts for a lot. But it'd benefit from some lively competition.

I was on Tapatalk when I reported. You have to highlight the individual SPAM post and then you can report it. :)

Just tested this myself, and can confirm (iPhone version: normally when I use Tapatalk I'm on the iPad):

To report: hold on the message like you're going to quote (as you would for replies here anyway) and report is the option next to quote. It should pull up a little window for the reason (for spam, that can be really brief, like "spam" or "possible spam") and then tap okay to send it.

Ahhhh. I have been replying by tapping the small left pointing arrow at the bottom right corner. That goes right to reply without the little menu. Thank you!
