There's been quite a bit of upheaval in my life this year - major health issues, constant chaos at work, relationships turned on their heads, etc. I'm floundering as I try to make sense of what's happened and decide on what direction I need to go.

Would anyone like to take a stab at a reading to shed a little light on this? Any insight on where to focus my energy would be appreciated.

OK. I used the shadowscapes deck, and here's what I got:

Situation: 5 of swords - you've got a lot of battles you're fighting.
Challenge: Queen of Wands. This sounds like it's referring to you, actually! A suggestion to focus you energy on your career?
Advice: Page of Cups* I need to draw clarification on this.
What not to do: Four of Pentacles.* Also needs clarification
Goal: Trump XVII, The Star...looking for Hope!

Clarification cards: 6 of swords & Knight of Pentacles
I believe the 6 of swords indicates a need to remove yourself from a situation, while the Knight of Pentacles indicates that you should continue working towards your material goals.

One final card draw: ACE OF PENTACLES!!!!! Yay!!!! Lucky!

So I think all in all you should focus your energies on your financial and material wellbeing at this point.

It makes more sense than it should.

The four of pents does not surprise me. It comes up whenever I'm stubbornly clinging to a perceived source of financial security. In this case, it's a job situation that I hate but that I've stuck with for the benefits. Looks like it's time to update my resume and stop clinging to the old job.
