A Form of Discordian Cartomancy

The thought popped into my head at an indistinct point in the past, that the Alien cards from the Cosmic Encounter game published by Fantasy Flight Games would make an interesting divination deck.
There are over a hundred different aliens provided by the game and its expansions, like 'Grudge,' 'Empath,' and 'Fury,' whose characteristics could shed light on something human.

Such as the perennial anxiety of wanting to know what will not happen in the future. Shuffling the red level aliens from the Cosmic Conflict expansion, I drew a card. It was the Saboteur. I divined from this that I would never be able to booby trap an entire planet, thereby allowing the indigenous population to be conquered by evil overlords from another galaxy. Such is life.

Another question that could be answered using these cards is 'what past life did your spouse not have?' The card that came up was the Relic, meaning, that the love of my life is not a reincarnated robot janitor with aspirations of world domination. Whew! A load off my back.

The last question I came up with in this first trial run is 'what personality should I have today?' The Prophet was revealed, which I took to mean that I should predict the outcome of all decisions, being all haughty about it. If the predictions failed, I could explain that do to the multiverse theory of cosmology, I was accurate in at least one parallel universe, so what's your problem?
