I tried to put an image in my signature (it's the same one from SMF) and instead it's showing as a link. Are sig images turned off for my usergroup or am I being thickheaded again?

Permissions error on my part. Registered users had the img bbcode turned off in SIGs for reasons unknown to me. I don't know if that was standard and I did not notice or of I accidentally turned it off.  Anyhow, it's fixed and your image is showing up.  Thanks for pointing it out.

Actually, I thank you for pointing out the problem. I'm sure there are lots of "bugs" like this that there is no way to notice until someone tries something and notices it does not work like they think it should. Some such issues may not be bugs, but a lot of them will be.

I don't know if Staff/Senior staff/hosts will keep the badges. Staff and Senior Staff are especially bad as they repeat the "title" and if i try to remove the Title then the standard by number of posts User titles come back.  I'm looking into it.

Actually, I thank you for pointing out the problem. I'm sure there are lots of "bugs" like this that there is no way to notice until someone tries something and notices it does not work like they think it should. Some such issues may not be bugs, but a lot of them will be.

 
Did you change the signature allowances? I tried to edit the quote in mine (to something shorter, actually) and it now says my signature is too long.

I may have, but that was several days ago when I was setting up rules and donor usergroups. I don't think I changed the character count for Regular Users however. (1000 characters total, 500 not counting bbcode characters). Can you give me some more info on what you are seeing?

If I try to save my current signature, I get the following error:

Your signature contains too many lines and must be shortened. You may only have up to 3 line(s). Long text may have been implicitly wrapped, causing it to be counted as multiple lines.

Try it again. ADDON-SIG Leader is supposed to up this to 5 lines if permissions work like I assume they do.

Addon group setting are supposed to take effect if they are more liberal than those of your primary group. I had the it set to 5 lines in the SIG Leader user group but that apparently was not working. The only thing I can figure is "Allow Sigs" has to be set to "yes" in an addon usergroup or it ignores the limits set there completely. At least I changed the "Allow Sigs" setting and that seemed to make it take. ::cue Twilight Zone music::

This is more just an observation about how weird brains are - the sidebar looks lovely!

I did that on purpose to make it easy to tell the new board from the old.
