Hello @ everyone who knows what they are doing when posting...
I am trying to add a picture Ive made to one of my replies. It is not working.
Ive also tried posting it in one of the image testing topics in here...also not working.
I have no idea what I am doing. I then read I need an URL so Ive posted the picture
on imgur to get URL. Copied it there and then wanted to use that to attach the foto and
a site popped up telling me my content has been blocked? Or I have now been blocked?
help. please.

Honestly, my experience of uploading photos here is trying six times and having it fail seven and then mysteriously it works on reload or something so it may just be "this is genuinely hard and bewildering".  Maybe someone with more technical competence will have something useful to say.

Mostly when I've tried the reason it won't upload appears to be the size of the photo exceeding the maximum size, but the other day I tried multiple times and it appeared to fail, then when I ultimately succeeded in making my post there were 7 of my photos there!  So I'm afraid I'm no help either for attachments.

On another occasion I resorted to hosting the photo elsewhere and posting a link (in my case I went with DeviantArt, but I believe there's other places where one can do this) - I don't know if that's of any help for the moment?

• Download Irfanview and its plugins (free). Install.
• Take the picture you wish to upload to the forum and open it in Irfanview.
• Change the size to a reasonable figure (no more than 1024 on the longest side).
• Use Irfanview's "Save for Web" plugin (in its "File" menu) to crunch it still further. You need to get it below 128K in size.
• If still too big, resize it again (smaller) and "Save for Web" again.
• Type the text of your reply into the forum via the normal requester.
• Click on the "plus" by "Attachments and other options" to expand it. In "Attach", choose the file which you just saved in Irfanview.
• Click on "Insert Attachment 0" to generate a link which will display the picture you just uploaded. You can move this link anywhere appropriate in your reply.
• Have fun!
