I'm pulling for Houston, of course, but congratulations to The Team Formerly Known As The Expos for making it to the Big Dance at long last!

It should be one classic Fall Classic!

The Nats are my NL team (I grew up inside the Beltway) so I'm rooting for them 'cos the Sox were a grand and epic disappointment this year. (Though I did get to take Oldest to her first game at Fenway with our church.)

Well, if you're going to lose then you may as well lose in historic fashion. They'll be talking about this Series...where the home team couldn't win a game in either city...for the next hundred years.

Congratulations to the 2019 World Series champion Washington Nationals.

Congratulations to the 2019 World Series champion Washington Nationals.

I like the Nats because my Sister used to live in DC and I have no real connection to Houston. I am actually a Mets fan. My Father's family is from Brooklyn, and we were Dodgers fans way back when. When the Dodgers left New York ("we wuz robbed!"), it would have been treason to go over to the Bronx and the Yankees, so we eventually became Mets fans by default.

My Dad saw the Amazin Mets victory season in 69 (I was just a little kid then) and we became avid fans thereafter, with Dad taking us to games at Shea. Anyway, congrats to the Nationals, they earned their victory, and condolences to Houston.
