In which the universe conspires to blow Eva's mind about tarot and writing, with some musings on how it feels like I've been here before... (and grown so much since then!)
Eclectic witch - crystal, deity, animal focused work.
I write, mostly poetry.

I love using tarot for inspiration!  I did a whole NaNo one year where I drew two cards everyday I sat to write, and those became my inspiration for that day's writing (they had to show up, in some way, even if it was some minor detail from the card that appeared in the background of my story).  It was fun, and crazy, and challenging!

I've done tarot-shorts too, where I draw a single card, then write a quick short story based on just that card, often telling the story behind the image.  I really enjoy doing these!

Have looked up all kinds of ideas for using tarot for story formation too, from character development (also can be used to create roleplaying game characters) to whole story plot, to dealing with writers block.  So many great tools in tarot!

This week, I ended up being sparked by a discussion I was in about "how women who are more spiritually evolved will tend to bleed with the full moon".  That really kind of annoyed and frustrated me, because I feel it was a way to kind of snub anyone who didn't, at the same time fluff up the ego of the people who did....and when I bleed has jack all to do with my spiritual evolution!

So here it is:  It's okay not to be special

I've been spreading out my Sabbat observations, instead of trying to do 'one big ritual'.  I've never really gotten behind the 'must do this at X time' kind of observation either.

I'd say in honor of April showers...but so far we've had more snow than rain!  Still, I wrote about The cleansing power of tears...and storms!
