Mourning My Quartz
« on: October 04, 2017, 10:03:06 pm »
I've been wearing a rose quartz for the past 4 months or so and yesterday it broke. I went by Sam's on my way home from work to pick up office supplies. I used to app for a quick checkout, but when I looked at my receipt I noticed that it charged me incorrectly. I went to the customer service desk with my 60+ pound cart to notify them. Since i have the app, I was told I needed to go to the door to have it scanned and checked, then return to the desk. I walked to the front and was told I needed the bring the cart with me. I return to the desk and walked back to the front with the cart. With that done, I returned to the desk to find out that I needed the credit card i used for the purchase. I didn't have the card with me because it was linked to the app. I decided to just walk to the back corner of the store to grab the extra bag of coffee I was charged for. As I was trying to turn my cart my necklace, with the quartz, caught under the handle, popped off the cord, and broke in half. I just stood there for a moment, trying to keep myself together, trying not to sit on the floor and cry. The weird thing was, the clasp that holds the quartz was completely intact (solid metal) and the cord still around my neck. I put a lot of time, energy, and love into that quartz. Tonight I will meditate and thank it for its love and service. ♡

Oh, I know that can be really upsetting! I had a necklace break recently that got me through some really hard times. The way I got through it was telling myself that the hard part was over and Spirit knew that. I hope you find another talisman to carry you through the next stage of your journey.

Thank you! I went by another store afterward and they were playing "The Middle" by Jimmy Eat World, made me laugh a bit. (: I decided to hang the part still attached to the metal holder/clasp on my wall and the other piece on a table in the opposite corner of the room. This morning I made a necklace with a clear quartz that I bought back when i got the rose one. I'm also carrying a black tourmaline and citrine in a silk bag with lavender. Feeling like today is going to be a good day!
