Life's To-Do List 2012 Season 2
« on: March 13, 2012, 12:12:55 pm »
The season is about to change again, so it's time for a new installment of the To-Do List thread.

If you've done this before, you know what to do next. The season for this thread will run from March 20th until June 20th.  As always, lists may be posted prior to the start of the season, but updates should not begin until the first day of the season.

If you're new to these threads, here's how to join the fun:
  • Post your list of goals to be accomplished during the season. These can be goals of any sort- large or small.  There's no minimum or maximum number of goals required. These can be subdivided any way you like - dividing by topic and month are both popular methods.
  • When posting, please either number your list or post a running total of the number of goals made and completed.  This makes tracking group stats much easier.
  • Let everyone know how things are coming along by periodically posting updates and progress reports on this thread. Most participants typically update on a weekly basis... or as they remember! I'll try to give stats updates for the group every week or two (number of participants, total number of goals completed, etc).
  • The fun ends on the last day of the season. I'll give everyone a couple of days to do their final updates and then post one last set of stats for the group.
  • Toward the end of the season, look for the link to the coming season's thread.

Going for record time with posting my list for the season!

Here's what I want/need to get done this spring:
  • Get the gardens whipped into shape.
  • Continue writing weekly posts for the Pagan Blog Project.
  • Put away additional money for vacation.
  • Learn basic Norwegian phrases and vocabulary.
  • Hit monthly goals for Wellness Incentive.
  • Start brainstorming for NaNoWriMo 2012.
  • Photograph the new pieces and get them posted to Etsy.
  • Go through entire wardrobe and donate things that don't fit.
  • Do spring cleaning/cleansing.
  • Schedule my annual physical.

Double yay! :D::D:

I might come back to this thread for the season: I think I'm going to be implementing some changes in my personal schedule (namely, at least one Abbey Night, if not two, per week) to help facilitate my ongoing "Trying to Return to Myself" saga.

Oooooh I might have to add that to my list, too. I read about it briefly on her tumblr and then never got back to it. I'm about a step away from having a USB port installed in my brain, at this point. Scheduling some non-techie time would be good for me.

(((Tana & Finn))) I am so freaking excited. The specifics are still up in the air at the moment, but I am getting the hell out of here! JUNE!!

I might have to fudge a little: namely, leaving at least one lamp because I've already got the worst eyesight of anyone I know and trying to read (or crochet, for that matter) by candlelight will make me blind in half the time I'm halfway convinced I will be. Also, if dinner can't be down by sundown for some reason, the electric stove might have to come on. Because, um, food.

Also, if I decide on the most likely-looking night (Saturday), I have to leave my phone on so I wake up at OHGOD am in time for work the next morning. ;)

Okay - since tomorrow at sundown starts the day of Solstice, I'm putting my new quarter list up.  With a little luck I'll be able to do all these

Mundania
  • Finish a scale model - my one truly mundane vice
  • Read 5 fun books - got 5 on my Palm now - still reading
  • Till and erect surrounds for gardens

Physical
  • Work on cutting back the smoking - I WILL do this
  • Continue on exercise program - get the abs and chest back in shape - the arms and legs are actually good

Magickal
  • Design new shine/altar - this will also have to be built at some future point
  • One blog entry on my Ramblings page - still working on that one rant/response
  • Work on sewing up new kilt - I got enough green/black tartan for a great-kilt, but I'm gonna cheat and have the pleats sewn in place
  • Start herb seeds in trays - Lavender, Lemon Balm and Rosemary purchased, trays ready, just add dirt and go
  • Keep up with Chatter blog - I plan on daily updates, lets see if I can manage that

Glad I get to join in on this one.  :)

1. I just joined a gym. And I've been serious about my eating habits lately. So I want to lose 15 pounds.

2. Get married. LOL! I'm due to on May 26.

3. Read at least 2 books of my choosing.

4. Update the Mood Tides blog at least once every 2 weeks. (that's a support group I'm president of)

5. Continue to be organized and faithful about looking for a job. Keep up on the calls I need to make and any paperwork I need to fill out in order to do this.

6. Write in my personal journal at least once every week.

I think those are some reasonable and attainable goals for this season. I don't want to set something outrageous, especially since I've never done anything quite like this before. I'm anxious to get started with everybody!

I can't believe I'm updating this already, but it's been a productive week!

  • Get the gardens whipped into shape. - I may need a whip and chair to do this after the mild winter.  I'm already looking at a first harvest of agrimony, lemon balm, mint, and catnip within a week or so.
  • Continue writing weekly posts for the Pagan Blog Project. -WIP.  This week's subject is Flamethrower.
  • Put away additional money for vacation. - 1/3 of the way to this season's goal already.
  • Learn basic Norwegian phrases and vocabulary.
  • Hit monthly goals for Wellness Incentive. - WIP. Hitting the March goals should not be a problem
  • Start brainstorming for NaNoWriMo 2012.
  • Photograph the new pieces and get them posted to Etsy.
  • Go through entire wardrobe and donate things that don't fit. - Done!!! What I thought would be a Monumental Task (TM) was much easier when I decided to be very ruthless about it.  One large trashbag of clothing has gone to Goodwill.
  • Do spring cleaning/cleansing. - WIP.
  • Schedule my annual physical.

Total Goals: 10
Completed Goals: 1 (woohoot!)
