-- Both of these are taking a back seat to "Going through Opa's (and the rest of Oma's) stuff; attending memorial service; being a support to Mom." He had a heart attack on the 25th and died two days ago, so now we have to deal with stuff.

I'm sorry, Morag.

Thanks everyone. Mostly it's just aftermath (estate clean-up; making sure we actually get our family heirlooms) we're dealing with. I'm honestly surprised that he lasted as long as he did; I thought that after Oma died it'd be a lovebird situation.

I'm just glad they're together again.

Physical Fitness

1. Keep up the exercise = visiting the gym twice a week. - sometimes twice a week doesn't work, but went once and went out with the dog, so I am ok with this
2. Keep up the mainly vegetarian food/cooking style. - check
3. Keep up the discipline of no sweet soda/sweets in general. - had some cookies for the weekend *shrug* don't think it too bad, either.

Household
4. Try to keep the chaos at bay. At least a bit? - yeah, 'key, some laundry done, living room clean enough to let a guest in

Writer

5. Get the lazy butt up and edit the damned story! For the interim goal let's say: three chapters. - wrote 1500+ words for a new chapter and found out, that I really, really need to make a list/graphic/timeline/plot organizer or something like that
6. Reading at least five books from the pile stacked up in the shelf. - second book half through - and stuck there. It's starting to get boring. Might start another one.

Witchy

7. Read at least five books from the other pile stacked up in the shelf. - not yet started, read the second fiction book first, then a witchy one
8. Start the big Journal with at least three entries. - not yet
9. Make some holy water. - weather was so bad, people were officially warned to go through the woods, we had big storms and now rain - hope next weekend will be nicer

Here's hoping I can actually stick with it this time.

3. Get serious about the veg thing. I feel so much better when I don't eat meat, so why do I keep going back?

I know how you you feel. It was really, really hard at first... the second time (the one that stuck) more than the first time. Partially because meat is so prevalent and partially because I was so used to eating it. If being veg is what's right for you, it DOES get easier, it really does. And I know its not for everyone, but how much better I feel was worth how hard it was. I do "cheat" every once in a while. I hadn't for years, but we just moved moved in with my lover a few months ago, and he's omnivorous. So it got strategically interesting. But I'm getting out of the habit. Wow, didn't mean to rant... just offer support.

Okay, this is really cool! A late start, but:

January:

Read at least four books
Get rid of at least one bag or box of stuff I don't want/need
"Finish" my altar/shrine without it being a complete disgrace
Finish at least one short story
Write either at least two more chapters in one novel, or at least one chapter in two
Center and ground every day
Meditate at least once a week
Focus on pathwork

February:
Read at least five books
Finish at least one short story
Write either at least two more chapters in one novel, or at least one chapter in two
Center and ground every day
Meditate at least once a week
Focus on pathwork
Have a reasonably concrete plan for moving to New Orleans
Get my computer fixed

March:
Read at least five books
Finish at least one short story
Write either at least two more chapters in one novel, or at least one chapter in two
Center and ground every day
Meditate at least once a week
Focus on pathwork

General for season:
Get something published

Total Goals: 23
On-going Goals: 4
Total for January: 8
Total completed so far: 0
