2019 Donation Drive

It's time for our annual Server Donation Drive! We need to raise at least $650 (same as last year) to keep The Cauldron's server online for another year. Please help! Either hit that Paypal button to the right and make a one-time donation in any amount or set up a monthly Bronze, Silver or Gold Donor subscription. You can find more info in this message!

Donations as of 16 Sept 2019: $660 donated. $10 more our minimum goal! Let's beat last year's total of $99 more than the minimum!

Note: This total is updated manually, usually once a day

* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

What else do you want? Do you want me to be materialistic like some of my Asian friends and go on about materialistic items?

I suspect that your inability to distinguish between reality and the things going on in your head is at the root of your problems here (and likely elsewhere).  Also, no.

See how I'm talking to it like it's not a troll?  Because I'm a lady.

Well that made me spit coffee all over my monitor............ ;)
Really?  So, hey, want to go fishing?  I\'ve got a telescope, and it\'s going to be a dark night, so we should see the fish really well.
...what, I\'m not talking about fishing?  That\'s stargazing?  It\'s all doing-stuff, so it\'s the same thing, right?

Well yes and no. The way you used it was funny. I have no doubt that you are a lady in all senses of the word.

I really like the troll part tho - that was hilarious.

The whole post.

I am just happy I am using an old CRT monitor temporarily cause they are easy to wipe off.

I'm insulted.  And hurt.  Then insulted again.  I'd love to talk more about apple grafting, by the way.  :)

Did you read the article posted by Kelly? Apparently newer research than 1996.

But why does the govt and the general public dismiss the supernatural? There have been countless exposures to supernatural entities,  but it seems as though it's Taboo to discuss.

Oh, there's plenty of discussion in political circles ... It's just restricted to the particular mythology that they happen to believe in

Physics has already determined that there are in fact other realms. Perhaps these realms are where the supernatural reside? It seems plausible that the supernatural study could be a form a science since it deals with physics. Thoughts?

OK, interesting hypothesis ... Show me something
What evidence do you have to support it?

A little thought experiment:
I can take you to a certain cemetery, down the road from where I used to live, in northern Iowa and tell you I've always had a bad feeling about it, and it seems to center around this particular grave
You have a specific location to look at, and you have a name and a date for the death of someone who may or may not have something to do with my observation

Is there a ghost?
I don't know, I haven't seen one, nor has anyone else told me that they have

I also tell you that I have observed that fog seems an unusual tendency to form in that area - which may or may not be related to my other observations
The evidence I've given you is subjective, at best, and possibly fraudulent

OK, have fun ...
What hypothesis can you offer to explain my observations?
What kind of measurements can you use to provide tangible evidence to support or reject that hypothesis?
