111-Hertz sound wave treatments
« on: August 18, 2019, 03:37:40 am »
I was just reading about the awesome health benefits of 111-Hertz sound wave treatments
Apparently, it rejuvenates skin cells, accelerates healing, and even kills cancer cells

I got to thinking about it, and an A string on a bass guitar vibrates at 220-hertz, meaning that A2 is going to be roughly 111 hertz
Therefore, if this is true, it would seem to follow that fans of bands like Metallica and Motley Crue should be exceptionally healthy, and bass players in general should be all but immortal

Interesting topic. Do you have any sources on it? I wonder if one could do "Sound Therapy", sort of how Hydrotherapy is done. Interested to know if there is any real science on this. Some might categorize this as pseudoscience. Sometimes interesting stuff can come out of left field though.

My brother-in-law is a bass player. I'm going to have to forward this to him!

No real science that I've seen.  Could have missed it, however.

My girl friend's ex-husband was a professional bass player, and he died of cancer
Plus, I've heard that Tony Iommi had stomach cancer.
If anybody should be benefiting from this supposed phenomenon, it should be the members of Black Sabbath
