    • Songs of the Metamythos
  • Religion: tree-hugging pagan
  • Preferred Pronouns: he/him/his
The first song sets the wheel in motion / The second is a song of love / The third song tells of Her devotion / The fourth cries joy from the sky above
The fifth song binds our fate to silence / and bids us live each moment well / The sixth unleashes rage and violence / The seventh song has truth to tell
The last song echoes through the ages / to ask its question all night long / And close the circle on these pages / These, the metamythos songs

Literally cannot bring myself to click on that link and will trust your judgment that it is horrendous.
Maker, though the darkness comes upon me,
I shall embrace the light. I shall weather the storm.
I shall endure.
What you have created, no one can tear asunder.

After briefly skimming, believe me it is horrendous.  Aside from the usual Young Earth Creationist BS, two of the headings on the list are "The KKK? They were/are actually pretty nice guys" and "The Trail of Tears had a special purpose."  Given those two, I'm disinclined to read the article in full.

I read the article

I read to the KKK and then I had to stop because it was too horrendous.

You know, I really wish I was surprised by any of that.

What Mel said.

Willful ignorance + revisionist history.  Could it get much more nauseating?

I cannot decide if it's more ridiculous or depressing... no, actually I can, because just imagining there are real people somewhere out of there believing this trash for real   makes me to shudder.

oh heck, I can get both the history book and of pandas through the interlibrary loan, from libraries very close to me, although the public library does not own them at all.

I laughed at the humans and dinosaurs living side by side...a few thousand years ago.  I almost vomited at the KKK being "nice guys".

Eyes rolled at the bit about your offspring resembles what you were looking at while "mating".  For me, that explains why my kids look like my wife, but what was my wife looking at?
You have my sword
And my shield
And my... um... slacks.

This shit is why I have to immediately and vociferously explain myself when I tell people I homeschooled my kid.  It's kinda tiring.
