* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

Operation Restore Our Community or “ROC”…begins next week. The city judge will either let misdemenor [sic] offenders work off their sentences in jail and pay a fine or go to church every Sunday for a year.

If offenders elect church, they’re allowed to pick the place of worship, but must check in weekly with the pastor and the police department. If the one-year church attendance program is completed successfully, the offender’s case will be dismissed.

I dare someone to chose a Grove or Coven ;) My bet is that they would get shot down if they tried.

If they got shot down the offender would have a viable discrimination lawsuit. I might like to see that one battled out, actually.

Frankly, I would like to see whoever thought of this policy be removed from the bench/office/whatever is applicable.

It's clearly and blatantly unconstitutional. I doubt it will survive it's first attempted implementation. Even a jailhouse lawyer can call bullshit successfully on it. Rather, it's probably an attention grabber/political move, or just stupidity/arrogance run amok. So ridiculous.

Yes, but then they'd have to extend the sentence to a year and a day.  ;)

While I support community-based rehabilitation programs for first-time, non-violent offenders, this plan is so many shades of wrong that I don't know where to even begin.  The ACLU is going to have a field day with this one.

I suspect there will be major constitutional issues here.
