So I fell a day behind, thank you migraine, but I'm caught up now. They're not my best work, and I wish I'd had a better mind to focus on them, but they're done. I'll tidy them up later. They're not easy topics for me to write about, if only because I don't generally think about these things in relation to my Sobek practice, so if they're a little vague or repetitive with previous days, I'm sorry about that. I wasn't really sure how to approach them with my fuzzy unfocused brain. :/

Any mundane practices that are associated with this deity?

How do you think this deity represents the values of their pantheon and cultural origins?

So I am finally back on track, and today, we talk a little about Sobek's relationships with other gods and pantheons. I know only a little about this, but I can confirm He plays nice with Mars and Hekate, and most gods, generally. He's a pretty laid back sort of god, so He tends to get on well with other gods.

Though now I've posted it, I'm sort of pondering if it might have meant this in another way, but ehh. Too late now. It's done and posted. XD

So today, we talk about Sobek and how He stands in terms of gender and sexuality, historically or UPG. Personally, He is a very queer god to me, along with His mother Nit, and my UPG on that front is longer than necessary for this post. But that's generally how I see Him. I managed to keep today's post short and sweet, and this should tide you over until I can figure out what to say for tomorrow's post.

So today's post turned into a bit of a ramble about how much I adore Sobek, and maybe that doesn't make for much content, but it's late, I'm tired, and it's what I felt needed to be written. The question for today is about which qualities of Sobek we admire, or find troubling, and to be honest, I don't really find any of His qualities troubling? It's just part of His history, which is scarce enough at the best of times. But there's so much more to Him than those parts, and you'll miss a wonderful god if you dismiss Him only on the bad things. So that's what I rambled about.

The next four days are the creative/art posts, so that'll be fun, coming up with things for those days. :D

It is Artz tiem! I have been looking forward to these next four posts all month, and I'm glad I can share them with you at last. :D

First up, art that reminds me of Sobek my favourite piece of Sobek art. I wanted to do this, rather than the initial question, if only because I couldn't find anything, and I honestly just wanted to post this piece of art anyway, so.

Day 20: My Favourite Piece of Sobek Art

And for day 21, music! Which I thought would be hard, but no, Sobek earwormed me immediately, so. There you go. Have some metal. :D

Right. Well. I have neglected to post in here, so I've got a few posts to catch up with! But I'm now back on track, so hopefully, I can finish the last four posts on time, and be ready for the Sobek devotional call for submissions launch. :D

Day 23: Your own composition – a piece of writing about or for this deity

And here we go, the final four posts, and now the month is complete. Woo!

Day 27: Worst misconception about this deity that you have encountered

Day 28: Something you wish you knew about this deity but don’t currently

Day 29: Any interesting or unusual UPG to share?

Day 30: Any suggestions for others just starting to learn about this deity?

The full masterlist can be found here, in case you want to look through the whole set together. This has been a really fun project, and I'm glad I did it. I hope you've all enjoyed reading about them as much as I've had fun writing them. :D
