If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

Need some serious healing!
« on: February 14, 2019, 08:53:11 pm »
Hi, TC Friends.

I could use some healing energy/prayers. I tripped and fell last Thursday and dislocated my left shoulder and broke my arm. I think I also did something to my knee, but I think that's just a bad bruise.

I'm still in a fair amount of pain, but I'm doing a little better each day. My shoulder gets a tiny bit more range of motion each day, too. But it's still pretty painful, what with all the damage to the soft tissue in there.

I go back to the orthopedist on the 25th for a CT scan and a decision on whether the break (which is to the greater tuberosity of the humerus) requires surgery. Fingers crossed for a no on that!

The weirdest part is that I can't lift my arm straight out away from my side at all. It's not that it hurts to do it; my arm simply won't do it, no matter how hard I try. The dr said that's because of the break. The muscle attachment is at the point where the break is (the greater tuberosity of the humerus), so, when I try to move my arm that way, it's pulling on the part that isn't currently actually attached to the rest of the bone. It's a truly bizarre feeling.

I've also been having what I guess are ptsd symptoms - flashbacks to the fall and the 4.5 hrs I spent almost delirious with pain until they sedated me, nightmares about all that, intense fear of falling (my fear of stairs from when I fell down a flight 10 yrs ago has come roaring back), random crying. I'm even kinda afraid to go back to work, where it happened. So that's not helping at all.

But I know this too will pass. I just need time.

In the meantime, I can't type (I'm writing this on my phone), so my online presence has been and will probably continue to be pretty minimal for a while.

But I GREATLY appreciate any prayers / every sent!

Thanks!

~ Aster

I wondered about that right from when I started reading this post (is it really ten years? wow). It's not at all surprising that you're getting flashbacks and so on - but that doesn't make it suck any less. (((((Aster)))))

There will be both, from me, of course. I wonder if that energy 'reservoir' that someone (Oaksworn?) set up for you long ago (after the earlier fall?), to act as a filter/control, is still accessible?

I'm sorry to hear that, that's a rather bad place to have a fracture!

I hope you heal quickly and recover fully, physically, mentally, emotionally, and all other ways.

I will pray for you.

Sending prayers and positive energy, Aster. I have been working with Asclepius (Greek God of Healing/Medicine/Physicians) and his Daughters a lot recently, and have had some positive health results with them. May your health improve and your strength build.
