We said goodby to a friend today.

Today my mother and her boyfriend had to put their dog Gerty down.
She was 12 years old, and had both breast and bone cancer that progressed quickly. Today they had her put down, then buried her and planted flowers.
Its a hard time for us all. We are all so deeply connected to our animals. On top of this less than a year ago we also had to have Gerty's mom mya put down. She had brain tumers.

If you could send some positive energy, and say a prayer for my mother and her boyfriend and even Gerty's puppy Lucy who is taking this hard as well I would be so thankful.

Lucy - her baby - is still taking it hard, and not eating much. The rest of us, however, are getting past it.
My mom and her boyfriend took a couple of days off of work to relax and reflect and they seem to be dealing with it okay.
