The killer there, Finn, is that Citi KEPT BUYING THE MORTGAGE BACK. Every time we managed to refi with someone else, Citi got it back. Every. FUCKING. Time.

So good luck, seriously. I wouldn't wish this shit on anyone.

Forget about demons and devils - banks are the true evil.

So. Yeah. We're not out of the woods yet. Thanks again for listening.

Loves and hugs to you. I hope the remaining kinks will be ironed out soon and this intense worry abates for you and yours.

I think we're out of the woods as of Wednesday or Thursday. Family to the rescue, this time. As long as we can make a double payment within the next month we will remain under the magic 90-day time frame, and they CANNOT foreclose in that situation. The modification can move forward slowly (rather like Sandy, at present) for however long it takes for Citi to get their shit straight and approve it; we can afford the payments, we just don't have EXTRA for payments.

Whew. Thanks for the positivity, folks. It worked, like always.

We've had no problems with them taking money we send them and posting appropriately. That part they ALWAYS get right. :-)

Yes, banks sure do seem to be quicker about taking than any other action. It works like that often here too. The boogers.

Very glad to hear it may be coming to an end.

That's what you need right now.  My concern would be that they take your money, post it late, and then foreclose anyhow, that seems like par for the course for what they've been doing to you..
