Ste (ComW) in hospital and very scared

I am posting this on Ste's behalf (with his permission) because I know that he would never ask for himself. He needs some help.

Ste was taken to hospital on Friday after having a headache for a week, made much worse by the fact that he could not see out of his left eye. It started getting blurry at the beginning of last week, but he has been unable to see out of it since Friday (he can't see at all on the left side). I took him there and stayed with him all day (until 10.30pm when they decided that they were keeping him in). I (and my wonderful, and very patient hubby, Noel) went to see him yesterday and were told that he had a CT scan. The results have now returned and they are normal. This obviously raises the issue of what the hell is going wrong?

At the moment, the doctors are talking of referring him to the Neurologists at Hope Hospital in Manchester (I actually know the main Neurologist there- he has been looking after me and my MS for over a decade now, so I know just what a good guy he is) but Ste is still very worried. I think the not knowing what is causing the problem is scarier than actually knowing sometimes....

Please- any thoughts/ energy/ prayers would be gratefully recieved. Ste is part of my, and our, family. Thanks....xx

For what it's worth, what you described is something that happens to me on a fairly regular basis.  It's been determined by my doctors that it's related to my migraines.  That might be something for them to consider in his case.
