Prayers and energy for strikers and activists

If this is not to your political taste, please feel free to pass it over.  Tomorrow, November 2nd, is a day declared for a general strike by workers and students in Oakland, CA, USA--a call that has been taken up by numerous unions and also by other groups in solidarity around the country and the world.  It is the first general strike in many decades, and will include a march to shut down the Port of Oakland in the name of economic justice.  
It is, whether or not you agree with it, an enormous human moment, and deeply threatening to many people with power, weapons, and money--Oakland's "Occupy" group has already met with extraordinary police violence and tomorrow is going to be a powderkeg.

I will be in the marches and demonstrations tomorrow as a street medic and protest chaplain, working with an interfaith group and doing my best to help keep people safe and sound during a long, tumultuous day.  I would really appreciate any prayers and energy for me and for my comrades and for my city, for safety and empathy and courage and endurance and as little violence as possible, and for a greater movement toward justice.

Union contract won't allow me to participate (even if I wanted to), but since I'm just next door what are you doing Sunday?  I'm tied up next to the USS Hornet, so I'm easy to find.
