Author Topic: Prayers for my fur baby please (Read 2674 times)

Hello everyone,

My fur baby, Sabrina Elise, is having a lot of trouble lately. We had to take her last week to get checked out and the vet said she had fluid on her lungs and they did a chest tap. She seemed okay for a while, but now it seems like it is coming back. Her breath is short again. Last week when we talked to the vet she thought it could be a cardiac issue. If you would, please pray for her. She and her brother will be 12 next month. I just can't stand the thought of losing her yet. Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I have terrible news. On Thursday we are going to have to euthanize Sabrina. She's not eating, not taking her meds, and just seems to have given up. She just seems to know it's time. My family is so upset. She would have been 12 next month. I am so upset. Sabrina is my baby and I just can't believe we are going to have to euthanize her. Is there anyway that I can communicate with her on a spiritual level? Thank you all for the help and prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear this news, you & your family have my deepest sympathies. I can only imagine what you're going through, but I know it must hurt so much.

I've been trying hard to communicate with my two departed kitcats since their deaths but I'm afraid I haven't much in the way of specific techniques or anything which I can advise you of - I've mainly just been keeping them in my thoughts and putting the feeling 'out there' that they're welcome to visit as I'd love to see/communicate with them. We think they've each been to visit at least a few times.

Thanks Perdita. Yesterday was very hard to watch her be euthanized. All of us had a good cry. My dad and I took her and it was exceptionally hard to watch her. They sedated her first and for the first time she let me hold her. She usually let Daddy hold her a lot, but she let me hold her. Then when she was fully sedated the vet gave the medicine. She had got worse, it looked like her stomach had dropped. We knew that she didn't want to take the meds or want to go to the vet for any more visits. We let her make her choice. I am going to miss her a lot, but I am glad she feels no more pain.
