If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

Just wondering how everyone's doing?

Thanks for asking and prompting me to post. I should have updated ages ago, but have been so busy with the kittens plus struggling with migraines.

Anyway...

Stella has recovered!  We almost lost her, but she pulled through with intensive care in the hospital.  Assuming she continues to be well, we can have her spayed in another week or two.

Lucy was spayed about 2 weeks ago.  That was a really difficult decision, but we all agreed it was the right one in the circumstances.  She's doing well, but still doesn't trust me.

Luka was neutered at the same time and is fine. And so cute!

All three of them are still sequestered in Daughter2's bedroom and will be until Stella is spayed.  We have an un-neutered male cat in the house (long story), so we can't take a chance on another pregnancy. Also, we have to keep Stella away from the kittens until they're weaned, because if she starts lactating again it could re-start her mastitis.

And we're keeping them together because they are so close.  In fact, we're starting to think we're going to have to keep Lucy and Luka because it seems so unfair to separate them from Stella now.

The kittens are 4 weeks old and doing very well.  They're totally adorable and very sweet.  I'll try to attach a couple of pics.  (Sorry they're not great -- but it's the best my phone can do.)  They're starting to eat solid food now, so weaning has begun.  And their personalities are developing, which is a lot of fun.

But they're so much work!

We're working on finding homes for them.  I have 1 definite, so far, and another possibility.

The other cats all seem fine.  Some are being extra-lovey, trying to convince us to get rid of the kittens.  ;)  It's been amusing to watch the different reactions to the kittens -- some are repulsed, some alarmed, some baffled.  Our other mama cat, Lilly, who had a litter 2 years ago (some of whom still live with us), seems to enjoy watching us try to feed and bathe the kittens.  She just sits there and smirks -- obviously, she thinks 4 humans are nowhere near as good as 1 mama cat.  Unfortunately, she's right.

So, all in all, things are going much better now.

Thank you all again for helping Stella and us through her crisis.  We really did come very close to losing her, and I know your support was a huge factor in her recovery.  We are very grateful to you all!

Thank you for the update!
I am glad Stella is better now and that you managed to keep the babies alive, that's not that easy! *hugs*
