We said goodbye to Lola yesterday evening. I'm very grateful for the extra time we had with her -- time to say goodbye. But by yesterday, it was clear that she was ready. She'd stopped eating and was very weak. When she started mewing, I knew it was time.

My husband and I were with her at the vet's office. I held her on my lap and we both petted her and talked to her as she went. It seemed peaceful.

It's been a really long week, and were all exhausted, emotionally and physically. Last night was the first night I slept more than 2 hours at a stretch since we started Buzz's vigil, about 2 weeks ago.

Anyway...

I'm going to try to insert a picture of Lola (taken last week) into this post, but sometimes tapatalk doesn't cooperate. I wish I could share a picture of Buzz too, but I don't have one on my phone.

The whole family appreciates the love and support you have all shown.

Hoping things don't seem as raw for you now! I fully appreciate what you're going through as I've had to have one of my babies put down on April 4th (cancer gettin ginto his jaw). I've found that the first while is always the worst

Thank you. It's been a difficult few days. I'm writing memorials to Lola and Buzz on my blog, and that's helping a bit.

I'm sorry about your loss, too.
