Missing Cat
« on: November 04, 2020, 05:43:35 pm »
The former stray I adopted and named Miss Kitty has apparently escaped unnoticed by me in my new location.  I love her so much.

I rescued her and gave her the best life I could, took her to the vet, showered her with affection and kindness, and my other cat Crowley loved her and accepted her into our home the moment she literally forced her way inside by some means.

I never discovered how she did that, but I knew I had to help this creature who clearly needed me and took it upon herself to move in with me.

The only consolation I have right now is that I gave her the best life and all the love I could.  It is very meaningful to me to assist the vulnerable when I can, to show kindness when appropriate and possible.

Plenty of times I have been denied kindness and love when I most needed it.  The opportunity to show kindness to Miss Kitty moved my heart because I understood her need.

I had the power to do something good and kind, and it made me feel empowered to do something for that little creature that my family would have never done.  My home growing up was not good for pets.

In a way, I was loving a part of myself in that cat.  I felt like I was healing the wounds of the physical and emotional abuse and neglect that I endured growing up by making vastly different decisions than my parents on how to treat animals, especially cats.

She helped me to discover a part of who I am, a kindness and gentleness that no one was ever able to stamp out of me, though they tried.

Miss Kitty was afraid of my neighbors.  But she chose me, she trusted me, and I took on the responsibility and gave her a loving, happy home.

I don't know if she is alive or dead now.  All life must end at some point.  These are my only consolations.

If she doesn't return, I will for the duration of my life be grateful to her for bringing me joy and allowing me the opportunity to make my little corner of the world a more hospitable place.

Any form of spiritual assistance or a kind thought for Miss Kitty will be so appreciated.

I will pray for your lost cat to come home safely!

Omigoshhhh.  She is here! I looked all over this house again and again and searched all over the neighborhood all day long, and I just saw her peek her little head out of the closet I searched about ten times!

I wrote that post weeping my heart out, and here she was all along!

Thank you so much!

It's amazing how they can manage to hide & vanish when they want (or, she moved hiding spots during your search, possibly) - anyways, I'm so glad you're reunited already now!  (((EW and Miss Kitty)))
