Loss of another beloved pet cat
« on: April 13, 2020, 05:04:42 am »
Our beloved 10 year old Toffee died suddenly during the night and I'm devastated.

The lady on the phone at the vet said it could've been a blood clot - Toffee's older brother (same parents, different litters) had suffered with a heart murmur and also died suddenly at the age of 7 three years ago so it could have been some congenital heart thing, as well.

Toffee was my precious angel, the sweetest kitty and I can't believe another of our cats has departed so suddenly and still quite young, in my mind.

We still have one remaining 5 year old neutered male, who is also a lovely cat.

Please keep us in your thoughts, and help us with utmost peace for sweet Toffee & the best of health for our remaining lonely only cat, Sammy.  Thank you.

I'm so sorry.

Keeping you all in my thoughts, it's so hard to lose one of them. (My previous cat Athene, had a blood clot, also around the age of 10, and there was something about it being so sudden that was extra hard.)

Thank you Jenett, we did think we were going to have some more years with her, yet, but sadly it wasn't to be.

Our beloved 10 year old Toffee died suddenly during the night and I'm devastated.

I'm so sorry!  I know from experience that nothing really helps, but, fwiw, I've been where you are.  It's so hard. Every single time.  We pour so much love into our "fur babies", and they give that love back to us at least tenfold. When we lose one of our beloved pets, it hurts so much.  But losing one unexpectedly is so much worse.

When one of our cats passes, I try to remember that my sweet friend had a good, comfortable life.  Most importantly, she knew she was loved and she loved me in return.

Toffee knew that, too.

*hugs*
