Going for my driver's licence
« on: May 09, 2014, 10:11:14 pm »
Really quite nervous, but I'm a pretty good driver, so I'm not unconfident in my skills, I just...

I just want some good energy and prayers that it'll go well? Having my licence will make it sooooo much easier on the whole family, I can drive Dad home and then drive back in so Mum can get home and things.

I just need to get it and not lose my head during the test.

If you've already gone, how did it go? If not, best of wishes! I was so nervous when I took my test but it went much better than I was expecting. I hope it goes the same way for you.

With any luck, I\'ll grow up to be Nanny Ogg.

I know this is late, but best wishes for it to have gone well!

I hope it went well!

How old are you, if I may ask? I don't know what the age rules are in your country. It's 15 for a learner's permit here in the US, 16 for a license. But I just want to say don't worry if you don't pass the first time! I didn't bother to get a permit until I was 16 and a half, and I failed the written test the first time. And you know what? I got by without a license until I was almost 21. I didn't get one until the summer of my 20th year.

I did sooooo bad on that test. I was so nervous! The lady asked me to turn my hazard lights on and make a three point turn, and I just went totally blank. She actually had to turn the hazard lights on herself because I just went *OHMYGODIHAVENOIDEAWHERETHEYARE* and then she had to coach me through the turn...

But somehow I still passed. I think it was the fact that I'd had a permit for 4 years and *did* know how to drive...she understood the nerves.

I hope you passed?
KARMA: You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
