Kidney trouble
« on: March 21, 2014, 07:42:25 am »
My husband, Vivian, is having severe pain in his kidneys, especially the left one.

It could be due to being on a week of Keflex for a cyst in his armpit (which is not healing/reducing in size, and it's looking like he will have to have surgery to remove it in the next couple of weeks), because Keflex can be harsh on the kidneys.

However, he has a long history of getting UTIs and kidney infections, and I'm more worried about it being the latter due to the severity of the pain.

I hope it is not a kidney stone, because I've had more of them than I can count, and they're terrible.

We will be going to Urgent Care later today when we can get a ride for tests.

He has chronic fatigue syndrome, so any sort of illness or trauma wears his body down severely, making him significantly more prone to other sorts of problems, and he becomes so exhausted that he can hardly get out of bed.

I would greatly appreciate prayers and energy toward helping his kidneys, and also reducing the cyst without needing surgery.

After I get a bottle of neem oil on saturday, I'm going to be using that on a soaked piece of gauze on it 24/7, as that's helped me with cysts in the past.

I've had him drinking water constantly, because during my year or so of kidney stones and infections, that was always the advice, and giving him ibuprofen for the pain.

Thank you all.

Healing thoughts sent your husband's (and your) way! Hope everything works out.

Sending positive energy for healing! That all sounds really rough and painful. Hopefully it subsides soon, and without surgery.

I've had some kidney issues recently as well, and I've found that adding some dried parsley to decaf green tea has helped a lot. Lemon ginger herbal tea has been helpful too. Drinking a lot of water is a good idea, and I'd also stay away from salty foods, animal protein, and cinnamon. Eating healthy in general never hurts.
